Yeah kind of sucks cause I was here all morning, replied with that number with the false start and then was told 1:30 so I ran around to get back in time only to see it started before 1:30 for some reason.
I was disqualified the second that 1:30 went out the window anyway.

Gotta say, even though I got my first choice, I don’t understand the reasoning behind eliminating people who choose duplicates. First off, it’s inconsistent; the rest of the giveaway there’s been plenty of leeway for people who tried signing up early because they were confused, or didn’t say the right phrase to sign up, or tried to choose their selection early. Second, it’s possible for people to edit their posts without any trace of it (other than to the mods) if it’s been less than 5 minutes. I don’t think it happened here, but that offers loads of potential for abuse if there’s not someone in charge watching the thread like a hawk the whole time. Third, it kind of seems just cruel eliminating people for one mistake… especially considering that there were mistakes made by the organizers, including telling several people the wrong time. No offense meant to you guys, of course - it’s only human.
Just my opinion, of course. You’re the ones running the giveaway and they’re your rules. If you want to do it this way, I’ll hold my tongue in the future.

I don’t disagree that it’s a harsh standard, but it was also communicated on day 1 in the OP, so I think people knew what they were getting into, and the risks of rapid fire posting.
