I AM IN LOVE WITH YOUR OUTDOOR AIR-POT SITUATION GOING ON!

Haa, haa, haa! Thanks @Pigeonman It’s the ‘after-season party time’ so all the 30 & 50 g. big bags from last season got amended and I decided to just go with 5, 7 & 10 gallon airpots as there won’t be enough time for them to get very big anyway, why waste mix they can’t get to? @Budderton loaded me up and the idea of lots of smaller plants - fast sounded like fun!! (Clowns fit right in with the Three-Ring-Circus this place is fast becoming!) Actually, everything is starting to flower at a little over a month from putting them out and it feels like I’m running autos (which I am too, but that’s another story! :flushed:

I’ve put a couple good handfuls of worms at mid-level in each pot prior to transplanting and am amazed at the amount of castings beneath each big airpot in just a few days…gonna have to rethink this as they’re set on gravel right now! What a waste!

I accidentally (really!) pulled down about 75% of a rather large cashew tree the other day clearing some vines… with the overhead branches all gone I cleared the area yesterday, laid out driplines today…tomorrow we’ll expand that particular site by 2X! 40 more 5 & 10 g. airpots are due to arrive tonight!

Only downside I’ve encountered w/airpots is the numerous entry points it makes for fungus gnats. Had an outbreak but sticky traps & soapy sprays brought it back down…but extra work/extra time.

I hear this. Lucky so far have I been! :crossed_fingers:

Other AP growers i’ve seen use “nut milk” style straining bags from Dollarstores as an insert if they know FGnats are around.

Hey Tlander, maybe you could answer a weird question I have. Looking at your luscious garden made me wonder… do you guys have any animals that eat your plants there? Like here we have deer that will eat them if not protected. They’re maybe the worst. Chickens can do some damage, too.

Just a weird thought that popped into my head, lol. I’ve never heard of people having deer problems in Asia. So, do you have deer in Asia? peace

555! Nope, no deer around here! It’s not a racest comment, just true - Thai’s eat any/everything! In the old days if guerrilla-growing it was hard to find anywhere where somebody didn’t go to collect fruit or cocos or? We have a ton of bugs, but I’ve been really surprised how little damage I encounter w/ganja. I started out using mossie net covers to protect them the first month, but have decided its too much hassle lifting 'em every time you want in. One of my neighbors has a herd of cattle that ‘wander’ a bit and there’s always a water buffalo around somewhere! Our dogs were trained from birth not to ‘dig’ as I raise a lot of rare or endangered species around here.

OGTW!
:call_me_hand:

EDIT: I should have said, yes…there are deer in Thailand (elsewhere) just not near here!

Hey @misterbee, I forgot to tell you that my greeting card made it, a while back. Thank you brother!

Any chance you have any info on that Hawaiian Haze? I remember you said the genetics are being kept secret. Do you know anyone who grew it yet? Or, any grow journal? Otherwise, we’ll find out soon! peace

Haa, haa, haa! @HeadyBearAdventures I have a fairly big nursery full of (mostly) seed-grown plants. You wouldn’t know it from my ganja, but I specialized in propagation of particularly difficult species to reproduce…this led to me working with a lot of Scientific and conservation organizations over the years, which opened doors to my doing so legally. I also ran a specialty landscaping company for 25 years until I “retired”!

That’s the ‘story’ anyway…truth is; I never met a seed I didn’t want to plant! Zip-loc baggies, a marker pen and a camera are never out of my reach! Sorry, I get carried away when I upload pics!
