I’d love to listen to an OG podcast!
I’ve been watching the Build A Soil youtube series for last couple years, and listening to the Potcast regularly.
I’m definitely a audio/visual learner though, unless I’m already a bit clued in onna subject, I find it really difficult to take information in if I’m just reading it.
My brain just starts drifting and I have to re read pages over and over again for it to stick.
So a Podcast would be great to stick on and listen to while gardening!
I love this as well! It’s great to learn from pro breeders and big names, but having things being discussed that relate to my level of set up would be helpful too.

@MCR0161 , this is a fantastic idea. I think a lot of people would listen, myself included. I’d like to see member spotlights, origin stories, specific member’s grow tips, breeding/chucking updates, maybe some Co-op grow strain information from the seed maker. 30 to 60 minutes would be perfect- have enough time to get in-depth, but not so long that you’d be scrapping for engaging content. I’d like to see @Heliosphear , @DougDawson , @Papalag and the rest of the octo crew, the worm bin peeps, The SIP growers, The clone collectors, The seed hoarders and too many others that I can’t rifle off the top of my head. I don’t know what I could offer, but I’d be willing to help a bit if needed.
Once again…great idea, man!

BU2B I was going to say about utoob aswell 
faces dont need to be showen and thousands more people would watch not just people on OG and the info would be there for ever . It can also be interactive so those watching and listening can ask questions.

Lol, not sure folks would want to sit around listening to me. Still, the OG podcast sounds like a really cool idea. Just sitting here liking my wounds after meeting a lovely family of wasps. Little buggers got me good.

Only downfall with youtube is videos about weed get hidden from the algorithm, so not likely anyone new would find it.
But would still be a good place to keep a library of each episode for everyone on OG to be able to go to.

I would listen to a overgrow podcast. I think it would be great if there was a facility to listen to it while browsing the site too. Im sure different og podcasts even when live could lead to some intresting threads and topics of discussion. There are also some guys about still who have a great deal of knowledge and first hand experience of some of the history of the community and how we got to were we are. Og is already a great resource and tool and with a pod cast I think it will only add to the strength ofovergrow.

I’ve seen some weed related shows on youtube that cut out the word ‘weed’ everytime they say it, so it doesn’t get picked up on, but I think they monetize their shows, so thats probably why they do it.
Silly really but, like you say if someone searched specifically for our podcast they’d still be able to find it.

Might be getting ahead of myself here, but what about linking a giveaway to each episode as well?
Like having each episode sort of sponsored by an OG member and their genetics,
and can do a wiki for each episode giveaway, the drawn only gets done once the podcast receives a certain number of listens…

Important to establish early on the focus or focuses, like other podcasts about weed. Are you doing lore/history/culture like the ones that investigate the nebulous origin of chem, OG, etc? Talking more current cannabis culture and current events? Talking about breeding/genetics strategies? Are we talking grow room tech/design? Are we doing grower/growlog highlights? Talking about growing skills/tips/methods?
So many options! Taking on all of the above would be a lot, so maybe best to narrow down the focus a little?

On MTV Cribs when they would show the inside of the fridge, I always enjoyed that part. Seeing others fridges and seed collections would be so rad. That’s my type of reality TV. Much love

For myself, 90% of the podcasts I start, will get 2-3 minutes of my attention.
Should I Stay, Or Should I Go Now!
If they waste that time with some oh so soul searching intro music, it will be vaporized.
2-3 minutes of aggrandizing themselves, it will get them the finger and I’m gone.
I’ll give up 2-3 minutes to listen, so be interesting or be vaporized.

I agree. I need a good hook and get to the point. Give me an overview of the podcast then you can start chitchat.
Right now the “hanging out with so-and-so” seems to be popular. Just “hey bro, nice to have you” “nice to be had.” “Uh…” Then they sit around getting stoned as fuck and laughing about how stoned one guy is.
You knew who was going to be on your podcast. Plan something dude. My 14 year old makes better podcasts with his dudes playing Splatoon.
ETA: Truth be told. I’d rather read. I read cleaned transcripts of podcasts more than I listen to podcasts. I have a squirrel in my brains, which causes an auditory processing disorder. So, I don’t uptake hardly anything said to me.
