WTF Grow: The Malawi Tiger got an Anestesic Bomb

Hello folks,

Here I am starting another WTF grow.
Why WTF ?
This time I will put 2 almost pure indicas and two pure sativas at the same tent.
Here are the participants:

Black Bomb (Philosopher Seeds)
Genetics: Black Domina '98 x Tropimango
Grow Characteristics:. Very robust and compact, with little branching
Flowering time: 8-9 weeks
Feeding: Medium/Heavy feeder

Anesthesia (Pyramid Seeds)
Genetics: Northern Lights x Black Domina
Grow characteristics: It has all the characteristics of a large Indica
Flowering time: 8 weeks
Feeding: Medium feeder

Malawi (Ace Seeds)
Genetics: Old Killer Malawi x Malawi 3rd generation
Grow Characteristics: Pure sativa, medium internodes, with lots of lateral branching
Flowering time: 10-13 weeks
Feeding: Low/Medium feeder

Golden Tiger (Ace Seeds)
Genetics: Thai x Malawi (more Thai)
Grow Characteristics: Similar to the Malawi, but with larger internodal space.
Flowering time: 11-14 weeks
Feeding: Low feeeder

They will share the space, lights and nutrients. As you guys already noticed they have distinct feeding needs, growth characteristics and flowering time.

How I will be able to pull it out ?

No idea !! My focus is to give the best
environment to the sativas. The indicas are there to
have some sedatives to replace my lovely Violeta.

This is just a fun experiment, hope you enjoy as much as I am !!

Dude those Malawi and Golden Tiger are supposed to be crazy. Have you run either before?

Not ran them, but had the oportunity to smoke the Golden Tiger from a friend.
It was a bit overwhelming but really nice high, focused and energetic at the same time.
Perhaps will tame it with a bit of CBD.

This ought to be interesting! Do it up, I can’t wait to watch.

I have some Golden Tiger on the way as well. Will be very interested to watch how it grows.

Actually all girls. The β€œclassic” line from Phylosopher Seeds are feminized. And Pyramid afaik only do females as well.
But if I had some Cindy pollen I would cross the sativas !

Late update:

All four popped, and already sprouted:

Edit: The first post was made with them at the nursery, they are now like 3 days old.

9 days old, not much to see, but this is supposed to be a journal of sorts, so here I am.
The EC is high, and Black Bomb does not like it.
I really don’t care much, as long as the sativas are happy.
Malawi was the last one to sprout, but I think that she will catch up soon her sisters.
So here are the girls:

2 - Malawi

4 - Golden Tiger

6 - Black Bomb

8 - Anesthesia

Looks great. I have been eyeing Ace for a while now. I have read that malawi and golden tiger are really good. I need some sativa in my life! I want to try Panama also, read it’s good. I wish US seed banks carried their gear.
So are Ace and Cannabiogen affiliated? Looks like they have the same strains, but different prices.

Lowered the EC, so now everyone look happy, #6 is recovering nicely… TBH I am starting to think that - perpahs she is one of the Sativas and I swapped her with another.

The next weeks should tell us something, but I am not too worried. Just she is the one that looks more sativa from these four little plants. To be honnest I am surprised that the stretch is not terrible so far. Well, I will probably eat these words at the flowering stage

So, just one week later, they are growing nicely !

Is this your final flower tent?? If so then I would flip them in a few days  they will stratch a lot they already look crowdy

Correct this is the final tent !!

As I topped them yesterday, will give them a couple more days to recover and flip ! Also trained them down to save some vertical space. I think I will need it

Ouch, weeks update in one post.

Day of the top:

After one day:

Will go to the tent and get some today pics

Flipped them on 02/Feb, so they are now 8 days of 12/12.

pH: 5.8
EC: 0.74
Stable on both measurements. Looks like I found the sweet spot for all 4 girls. The runt is looking better.

Not much to see, but got an even cannopy with my β€œinverted scrog” (the net bellow to do some low stress training). It is easier to me this way, but I expect to put a traditional scrog net soon as they stretch.

The black bomb have one branch with quadruplets (four leaves per node - forgot the correct name)

Here some pics:

Tagging along for the ride, salad grows are always exciting! I’ve grown a couple fem tigers and they are mad fun, never had the pleasure of running them in the water, but I remember how they blew up in arid dirt, believe it was truly the first plant that I bought the giant mason jars for. Did them outdoors they were some pretty good producers, they might have wanted to go a bit longer, but the soggy ohio fall scares me a bit. They spent a long time curing, nice buzz but I’m a Chemhead and to lazy to be creative and upbeat!

I’m watching too…I’m liking the inverted net idea. Prolly can’t have to many tie downs for the Malawi.

10 more days, 18 days on flowering now.
First pistils here and there at Black Bomb (front left) and on the Anesthesia runt (fromt right)
Golden Tiger (on back at left) and Malawi (back right) are stretching, but not like crazy.
So far so good, but of course I expect a lot more stretch from these two.
The Black Bomb is really vigorous and nice structure.

A litttle more Golden Tiger:

Lots of weeks still to go, but will keep updating here
