What’s up, OGers sorry if this is a redundant post but I was wondering if you could steer a fella in the direction of your finest “chocolate” oriented strain? Something with a really nice genuine chocolate or cocoa vibe would be wonderful.
It’s been a long tiome, but I’ve had Chocolope from a dispo & it was so underwhelming in flavor that it kinda ruined me from looking at chocolate anything for a while. Even ponied up for a nicer Chocolate Thai that was supposed to be good & also fell flat.
Admittedly I haven’t tried growing anything myself in this flavor or cultivar type, and I think it’s about time I start looking?
Effects-wise I’m really open to whatever, even if it’s kinda weak but tastes really good, I’m ok with that. I’m most specifically looking for a genuine smell and, ideally, also flavor of chocolate.
i will second the blimburn in-house line chocolopez. haven’t grown, but have sampled. it was dispensary weed, so was skeptical going in. it was good. good flavors. not totally chocolatey… more like mocha. very pleasant flavors. a little on the racy side heady high for me tho. https://www.northatlanticseed.com/product/new-chocolopez-f/
Chocolope and white truffle have a bit of that Ime so does spliff seeds royal Thai there’s a chocolate pheno in that but it’s skunk x Thai so not pure Thai tbh I think all the chocolate Thai is a hybridised these days
Chocolope choco pheno is a bit rare… be ready to search a bit… i think i read 1 out of 6 or so are the choco phenos… i had one that was awesome… chocolate oil rag terps for days, was the stickiest plant in veg ive had…

Though i thought Amnesia x CR line gives redberry (raspberry pheno of CR) funk rather than choco funk but def @santero can tell us more how easy it is to find choco pheno
They were DNA Fems… i got lucky with a seed my friend gave me… I popped a further pack, but only found some fruity phenos, which were nice too, but just not as special
Cannalope Haze also have a consistent chocolate flavor when smoked, not so much in the nose. I would describe the nose as skunk, acrid and hazy. The taste as hazy with a dry, almost bitter cocoa(really dark chocolate) mouth coating that last a few minutes after smoking. The effects are quite uppy, peppy and if you’re prone to anxiety, it will probably trigger it.
I think a cross to Bubba Kush would be a great idea to continue to work this cultivar into something more modern.
The cut of Chocolope that gets grown for the disps around here is absolutely incredible. Def in my top #5 all time favorite smokes. Perfect blend of melon and chocolate…
Triple goddess from bodhi has a very interesting mint chocolate smell. Mostly mint with a background of chocolate. Doing a f2 now and i just got a wiff of that smell again for the first time In veg.
Im hoping to isolate that terp profile in an f3 or f4.

Ahh some years ago grabbed AKBB Chocolope F4, in the respect of Chocolope I miss… so was wondering if someone has experience with it!!
I look for similar pheno of Chocolope you refer. Chocolate+Melon (well my case was peach but think this is just different way of describing the fruity terp in there). Until when DNA was active in the Netherlands, some coffeeshops who had good relation with DNA, had this chocolope. Miss it alooooooot!!!
