Hello, fellow growers!
As a newbie, i would love to hear what kind of methods you guys like following to achieve the best end results?
I feel like there is too much info on the internet and you can easily get confused or overdo stuff trying to mix all the techniques available, instead of following one only consistent method.
If possible, i would like to focus on Indoor and soil/soilless mix.
Thanks a lot brothers, much love!

My method is cheap and dirty. Pro mix and bottles. No fancy gear.

Thanks for the reply, Foreigner!
It would be awesome to hear more specifics regarding what kind and frequency of training methods, how many plants per square meter, pot sizes, what kind of nutrients, and any other good tips you guys would like to add!
Peace!!

Start reading grow logs. All info is out there. Ther are no easy answers, it all depends on your situation and what you want from the plant.
I’m going the path of organic soil with top dressing and compost teas, leaning to KNF and using all natural crap to grow the girls. I don’t care about the yield at all, I want the plant to eat as naturally as possible to give me the best herb.

Training:
Top once, tie down a little, aim for 6ish main tops.
Plants per square meter:
Hard to say. Really depends.
Pot sizes:
First 5-6 weeks of life in 1L and then final home of 1G
Nutes:
Pure blend pro.
Feel free to ask more if it suits you.

Thanks for joining the discussion Luk!
That’s true, i will do that! I guess what i want is a nice tasting final product, I’m not a really heavy user, so i don’t need huge yields.
My last (and first) plant was a Critical Orange Punch from DP. It grew great, was looking awesome. I filled 4 28g Groove bags and still had some left over to make a little bubble hash, but i was disappointed on the flavor side. Maybe i gave it too many nutrients or messed up in the drying process.
Guess i got to keep growing and learning along the way

Thanks a lot for sharing, Foreigner!
Seems like a nice strategy. Not overdoing it on the training. Mind asking why you use pots to the smaller side?
I have a 2x2, in my first grow i had only one big plant (30L pot) and now I’m trying two 12L pots.
I guess i need to refine my skills… As i told Luk, I’m not happy with my end product taste and smokeability (is that even a word?)
Peace!!

The primary reason for pot size is how often you want to water. I tend to grow smallish 2-3 foot plants and with 1G containers I have to feed water every 3-4 days.
I’ve gone much bigger and didn’t really see any benefit.
If I were you I’d do 4 plants in 1Gs in the 2x2. Just don’t veg them too long.

Yea, i feel you man! Specially when you don’t have total control about your temps and humidity. I live in a warm and humid weather, might be awesome to enjoy some holidays, but it sucks for drying. In the summer i would easily get 30+ degrees Celsius in my tent, i guess my terps just evaporated and maybe it dried too quick in the first days.
I try to grow less plants because it isn’t exactly legal where i live. Recently we had some flexibilization by the Supreme Court, but it still isn’t seen with good eyes by most people. I feel like more plants would make it a much worse punishment by the law if i get caught.

Yeah the legal issue is a big one. No reason you couldn’t do one big plant in a bigger container.
I often hit 30C in my tent but my drying area is much more reasonable.

Outdoors, set it and forget it style, and give it nutes once in awhile, don’t do any overthinking…
Indoors DWC/SWC with Technaflora BC nutes…no res change…it has always worked for me and again set it and forget it with no overthinking…

That looks amazing, Phil!!
It would be a dream to be able to grow it outdoors, bigger plants and different cultivars, all that with the energy of the sun! I wish in the future I’m able to do something like that!
I guess i really gotta try to keep the hands off a little more… sometimes i get too excited and want to tend to the plants too frequently!
Much respect man!

Hi there
My favorite method would be
Octopots using promix hp and a bit of perlite
For feed jacks
Easy and you get huge plants

A city picker fits snug in a 2x2. Organic living soil in a Sip is easy as you want. No meters or bottles needed.

Thanks a lot for the replies, Papa and Bay!
I didn’t know about octopots or city pickers, i’m gonna look deeper into that!
Would you guys say that organic grows result in better tasting flowers? I’ve only grown in mineral bottles until today, but i might give organic a shot in my next grow!

KISS… keep it simple stupid method with dry organic amendments and grow bags. That’s what I prefer bc plants take what they want/need from the medium and all you really have to focus on is solid watering practices. Occasionally I supplement with recharge but overall just keep the soil moist but not damp… organic gardening not really beneficial to let dry backs take over. Gaia green, down to earth, and BAS are my favorite brands of fertilizer but jobes and Dr earth work perfectly fine. Also start with a solid base like fox farm, BAS, coasts of Maine, or roots organic.

KISS, that’s genius, I love it!! hahaha
Thanks a lot for the precious info, Headies! It sure make’s sense for them to take what they need from the soil themselves!
