I'm 27, I garden in the PNW.

All organics, mostly home-made and local, KNF recipes and inputs, KNF and Permaculture philosophies, developing micro-climates, nurturing soil life, companion planting, and land stewardship.

I grow cider apples, prune plums, figs, peaches, red grapes, blackberries, ever-bearing strawberries, cantaloupe, tomatoes (cherry, globe), peppers (jalepeno, gong bao), peas, bush beans, squash, radish (red globe, white), carrots (cosmic purple), beets, potatoes (golden nugget, russet, redskin), asparagus, cabbage, Swiss chard, kale, spinach, lettuce (arugula, Catalogna, romaine, red), cilantro, dill, chives, green onions, white onions, leeks, garlic, oregano (golden, mild, spicy), thyme, tarragon (French), rosemary, savory (dwarf winter), sage, basil (large leaf, holy), salvia, and mint (pepper/spear/orange/chocolate).

And those are the edibles I can remember right now. I also grow some perennial ground covers and ornamental grasses/flowers, have some rock roses, a Japanese maple, and a virgin kiwi tree and a 15' tall clematis both working their way up the side of the house. And then there's a wildflower meadow, about 15'x50' of just fallow land and wildflowers. Never cut or trod on or fertilized, it's just the wild buffer between my back yard and the forest. Between the wildflower meadow, the forest, the pond, the orchard, and the birch grove, there are a lot of different microclimates here. I'm able to collect many diverse micro-organisms and move them to my gardens and containers, as well as many different food sources for the populations I wish to encourage.

I've recently started to document some of my gardening activities on poemgrown.wordpress.com
