A big bears grows and tribulations

Hi I’m morg and I self identify as a pot growing, gun toting, chopper riding, sapient ursine. I love all cultures, foods, and perspectives and I especially love diesels.
I grew ak47 up north for nearly a decade for some biker freinds, no pics of that though(at least not web freindly) Almost 4 years ago the hair follicle tests and UA’s stopped and I bought a Rubbermaid shed and some fancy blurple leds.
My first forray into seed buying got me some mediocre genetics from a Dutch company and I grew out ak47 extreme and nycd extreme, netting a respectable 5 ounces from the two plants in a 2x3 shed

From there I moved on to HSO chemdawg(chem91)
switched to cobs.
Blue dream (hso)

And then started running through serious’s ak47, a few clockwork oranges, some blueberry autos greenpoint seeds copper chem, black gold, dynamite diesel.
I run organic living soils, blurple and cob leds, 3x3 tent, 2x3 cabinets and some space buckets for breeding/seedmaking
Funny thing is im a bit of a lightweight and have way more than ill ever smoke so I’m going for quality now.
I love this plant and I love the people who grow it.
Now we’re all caught up. My newest flavors of the month is top dawg’s chem 91#12 and mr nice, sh!t.

I’m excited about chem 91#12 because theres a lot of in-crosses and all the seeds I popped were identicle. (Hoping for stability)
ONYCD (F) X 91 Chem BX2
Onycd= 91skva x tres dawg
91 chem bx 2 = (onycd x 91skva) x 91skva

Chem 91 bx = Chem 91 sk va cut (F) x Chem91 sk va / Tres Dawg bx (M)

My goal is to create a male and build the ultimate sulphur fueled burnt rubber DIESEL. LOL

Sorry for all the pics and load times!
I look forward to growing with all of you!

The hair follicle and UAs were from previous employers I worked for a major oil company.

I took an anjiit “1200” off amazon and pulled it apart. I kept the 40vlt 1200mah drivers and all the internals except the Chinese cobs, and replaced them with gen 7 Vero 18s in 3000k.

I built two triple units of Vero 18s in 3500k at a total of 75 watts each.
Without fans I’m running at 400 watts total in a 3x3.
I added these two cobstrip 3000k work lights that are pulling 52watts each on the killawat to bring me to 500 watts even.
I spent 120.00 on the anjiit, and 54.00 on its cobs.
I spent 80.00 total on the two triple arrays. And 50.00 for the 2, 50w work/flood lights so just short of 300 dollars for 500 watts.
I’ve run the anjiit rig modified for a little over a year, and have pulled up to 16.3 oz.
I picked Vero 18s because they have decent performance and run about 9 bucks a piece.
Anybody can do this and I’m sure there are way better diy rig options, but this is my modest attempt lol

I’d like to mention also that I do things on the cheap. :grimacing: Vero 29 s are great and all but the pocket book wins every time with me. I don’t browbeat people for running blurple leds either. I just say be mindful of the watts pulled at the wall and ignore the claimed output.
I’ve seen fluorescent do the trick as well in some amazing grows.
Thousand ways to skin a cat really

I’m gonna stick around for sure. I’m very interested in diy led. You’re way over my head now but I learn fast. Keep in mind that some of us “oleskool” hps guys need enlightenment. Thanks in advance bro!

Well there’s awesome talent here and I’d love to share. I even heard subcools on this forum, his original super soil recipe got me hooked on growing! And I can’t wait to run his jack the ripper.
Lets see I only get 9 posts a day and not keeping track lol sooo

That’s my last grow with greenpoint. Copper chem, black gold, and dynamite diesel. Great gear.

This is mostly copper chem she dominated in a 3x3 with 4 other plants, totally overcrowded lol.
I pulled 5.3 z if I remember just with her. I thought She was fussy and had deficiencies, but it turned out she’s just a very yellow plant lol. Her lineage is chem4 x (chem4 x chemd bx) smells like mothballs and window cleaner with a touch of dead cat.

Yet another example of why I need to switch to super soil and sit back and let mother nature take its course. Your plants are beautiful, you must be so proud

Thanks, super soil and living soil really pay off when they are dialed in. I had a few failures doing so lol
I had an HSO train wreck that was just miserable and crispy. Hated my soil hated me really. It hermed and ultimately died.
No luck with autos either and my clockwork orange grow was shamefull.
Got to let the soil cook! I go 3 months for a new batch

Some more close ups of of Copper chem while I’m waiting on the new girls to finish stretch.
This is one of those expensive strains, though when I got it it was around 95.00. Its line is chem4(chem4xchemd bx 3) so there aren’t any real phenos.
I rave about it because its the only thing that really blitzes my arthritis and gets me to sleep sound and dreamless.
I’ve made f2s and will be working this line like an heirloom, for friends and family.
I have the same plan with chem 91#12 from top dawg as diesels really get me moving and talking.

I’m excited about an order of killing fields by sannies, I’ve heard lots about this strain and will need a chem break for my late winter grow.
Sounds like its been run to f5 or f6 from the website.

Hey @Morgwar, nice thread I love the diesels as well. Is that pic of the copper chem one plant? It looks beastly!

Thanks That thing blew me away it was yellow the entire grow, like it had nute issues but the growth and yield were awesome. It knocks a guy out in 1 or two tokes. I made f2s, gonna keep her around!
