Most certainly, zero actual information to the connection on how cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome was the cause of the death. Primary cause linked to dehydration according to how the article is written. No specific statements from the physicians themselves or any information as to any other health issues with this individual. As far as we know, it could have been caused by any number of factors including adulteration or some underlying health problem. Also, I donāt believe a causal connection to CHS has been scientifically established.
His attending physicians would not speak with the press, so the press had to shop for a physician, likely unfamiliar with the case, in California of all places (this incident was in Indiana).
I bet if you call, āDr. Christopher Colwell, Chief of Emergency Medicine at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospitalā youāll find that his comments were taken out of context.
