Lol yea I’ve seen it before, but it’s still good for a chuckle. Theres another one with I believe a gang unit officer who got his foot in a classroom and just calmly informs them of what happened. Almost like it wasnt the first time he done it

In 2017, Michigan’s government founded a commission to recommend policy on cannabis and driving, specifically how to set THC limits. Two years later, in March 2019, they released their conclusion: “[T]he Commission finds there is no scientifically supported threshold of ∆9-THC bodily content that would be indicative of impaired driving” (emphasis added). They instead suggest the use of impairment test, although they recognize that these were designed for recognizing alcohol impairment, which is not the same as THC intoxication.

Interestingly, in most of the simulator and vehicle studies, cannabis-impaired subjects typically drive slower, keep greater following distances, and take fewer risks than when sober (Compton, 2017). These effects appear to suggest that the drivers are attempting to compensate for the subjective effects of using cannabis. This is contrasted with alcohol-impaired subjects, who typically drive faster, follow more closely, and take more risks than when sober. That said, cannabis-impaired drivers attempting to compensate for the effects of cannabis are not likely to fully mitigate the effects of the drug on driving skills. Moreover, at least one study indicated that acute cannabis intoxication can result in more risk taking rather than risk compensation.

Interesting Indian perspective.
Although somewhat distressing, as the article is riddled with more than a little poppycock.

Yes I wouldn’t say the best article. It does give some updated stats on current legalization here in NA. Being in the Great White North I did not realize how many states have actually legalized it. Seems a real disconnect between state and federal attitude. I guess that is why canopy growth has hedged their bet for potential federal approval with some of their investments.
