Cannabis have never been legal in Amsterdam. Itā€™s been tolerated by the ā€œstateā€ and they turned a blind eye for many years, until around -00 and after that a lot of things changed to the worse.

Decriminalized, then maybe? I will look it up.
OK, ty. I found wiki on it: From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Legality of cannabis in Europe

Legal for recreational use

Legal for medical use

Illegal

Cannabis coffee shop in Amsterdam, Netherlands

Cannabis in the Netherlands is illegal, but is decriminalised for personal use. Recreational consumption of the drug is tolerated, and it is available in coffeeshops.
Uraguay? Whoā€™d even have thot. Oh i know, i think all drugs are legal in Portugal, pretty sure. Yanno, Mariana van Zeller, who does documentaries on drugs, smugglers, assassins, you name it. Sheā€™s super daring in a humble way. Sheā€™s Portuguese and was there in her home country smoking hash in one episode. I think itā€™s legal in Portugalā€¦i better google that. I did, you can if u want. But basically again, iā€™m wrong, but it is decriminalized in Portugal.

Ah, so it was Uruguay. I knew the Netherlands was a red herring but I couldnā€™t quite remember if Canada or Uruguay went legal first.

Yeah, all countries that is connected to EU or Schengen, canā€™t legalize cannabis. Thatā€™s one reason Germany wasnā€™t successful to completely legalize it. They also have just decriminalized the production and sale if itā€™s done through a cannabis club and itā€™s decriminalized for personal use up to a certain amount and itā€™s also decriminalized to grow 3 plants per household.

Please correct me if Iā€™m wrong on anything.

I made a bong once in the 60s. It was a baby food jar, and a broke glass tube i found and a rubber tube. Worked fer shit. LMAO, we got hold of some hash one time, so i had this buddy from HS yanno. Smart guy, super athlete, but wotta dumb shit sometimes. He was super smart, but kinda like the absent-minded professor or something, Jim (RIP, he got shot somehow) was his name. So, we got this bong, put some hash in it, and whatā€™s he do, he BLOWS, and not sucks! LMBO, ruins our hash, so i dry it all off, load up another bowl, and he DOES IT AGAIN! God rest his soul, he was so funny, and smart. Anyhow that bong never did work right, youā€™d inhale water half the time, could never get the level just right.

And, yanno wot, thatā€™s about the only bong i ever had/used. Oh i had a couple more but they were brass, decorative, worthless things. Iā€™ve used bongs that other ppl had, and yanno theyā€™re okay. Iā€™d love to try dabbing one time.

Anyhow these are cute liā€™l cannabis quizzies youā€™re posting. Nice job.

@3bombedmice what a fantastic story, it really got me to think about the first time I was suppose to smoke hash!!!

I had a 5g hash piece I bought from a classmate and I had kept it in my breast pocket on my winter jacket for weeks. After a rough day at school, I told my best friend that it was time to get high. We went to his house because he had a wood tobacco pipe and I placed the 5g cube in the bowl and lit it upā€¦ Inhaledā€¦ Exhaledā€¦ Nothing. Tired again and again and again. No smoke!

So I said to my friend that the hash must have gone bad and we threw it away.

Next day at school I told this to my friend I bought the hash from and he laughed at me for weeks.

Thank you @emeraldbullfrog and @3bombedmice.
Tomorrow it will be a quiz about cannabis related movies

One last thing about olā€™ Jimmy: When we were only 12 years old, he turned me on to Bob Dylan (which at the time was pretty fuckinā€™ hip, esp. for 12 year old kids). What was the dealio was that he had older bros in college, so he was in the know. Sheeit man i bought Dylanā€™s first album that was released in 1961 in that same year. I was a very hip 12 year old thanks to Jimbo. Missed him always.

Damn brother, you got some real swag at early age! When did you get into growing?

Aww jeeze, u hadda ask me thatā€¦ :Sigh: Basically, I never grew. Ok, uhā€¦i got a grow light bulb and had some fluorescent tubes, and planted some seeds way back in 1970s, but never got them past a couple months, then pulled ā€˜em and smoked the leaf, bleh. Then in the 80s this guy and I set up a hydro grow, using square 4 gal. buckets and a couple kidsā€™ wading pools. But it was in his apartment, and then he left it for a month and the harvest turned nice smelling, good looking smallish buds, but theyā€™d get you high for 15 or 30 mins, then itā€™d just go away. i actually did a grow journal after joining OG, but where i live, growing is inviting trouble. Tho legal here itā€™s gonna stink up the neighborhood, and invite thieves or ppl who hate hippies and cannabis. NOT GONNA DO IT. So yeah, i have about 200 seeds that I call Lupe Lu that i have fully photo and anecdotally documented as 10 foot tall male sativas, which iā€™m positive from the lady i got them from is Mexican, that iā€™d just LOVE to sprout, but again, NOT HERE. So, i buy from dispos, and i hate it. Whatcha gonna do? Yanno? Iā€™m not sure if that journal i posted is in here or another shit hole grow board. I should post it here if itā€™s not. They grew for oh, 6 weeks before i pulled them. Good motility, probly 15% or so, i donā€™t remember. Itā€™s been a couple years now since i grew them. I love growers, so i am here getting vicarious satisfaction in OG. Thanks to OG for not being jerks like some OTHER boards, and letting me stay on as a member.

Iā€™m gonna check my posts and see if i can find a link to my journal, if itā€™s here.

Edit, 3:37PM: I checked, donā€™t think itā€™s here. Iā€™ve backed it up locally, so maybe i can rehab it somewhat and post in here. Gotta do a lotta editing cuz i posted at a diff board in a diff name. Shit, but it should be in here, even tho itā€™s totally a meaningless journal or grow diary. Soon as i post it, iā€™ll link it in here.

I would love to see an old heirloom Mexican sativa. I have to confess that I havenā€™t grow that much Mexican weed, but the ones Iā€™ve grown have always been killer fruity 12-13 weekers. Fruity isnā€™t really my thing so African genetics have been the addiction for almost 10 years of growing. Would love to learn more about Mexican cultivars.
