@curiouscat any new ideas? I was thinking with the perfect size bamboo and a bandsaw you could make hundreds!

I tried with arrundo donax aka the reed which is very similar to bamboo, but I find it brittle, unless one makes a backing.

I just ran out of hose washers :sweat_smile: and already recycled all the ones from seed packs I’ve been gifted. I’m sure I’ll think of something new and different soon, as I’m determined not to buy anymore hose washers. I have some vinyl tubing that I could just chop up, but I’m aiming to keep it as natural as possible. :thinking: I might go with the wood idea if I can find some that’s thin enough.

The original version I made I had a wooden backing… but I guess it could be a bit of card just like the ones you get in the greetings cards glued so it won’t be as thick…
