Yes I mean the Bowery lower east side. So many buildings torn down, new construction. Itā€™s unreal. The continental is gone now also. Actually like half that block was torn down and new construction.
Your jaw would drop seeing it today @420noob

Mine too

I refuse to go to the memorial. My heart just rips out

I watched the plane hit the pentagon in plain site then saw the towers on my phone. I was literally devastated that day

Dumbo and Williamsburg are crazy also. Even more drastic in the amount of change. Greenpoint closer to Long Island City is not getting as much change, I believe because only the g line goes through

Been wondering. He answered a few of my texts. But then went silent I figured he had some life to catch up on

I was in Brooklyn when the planes hit. It was a definite turning point.
I donā€™t think a single place I used to go is still around. Thatā€™s for both the lower east side and Williamsburg.

I was in Brooklyn and saw it on the news. Immediately thought to myself this is bad! Road blocks check points up almost immediately. Wife was on 10th street that day. She has some stories

Took me 16 hours to get home from Baltimore to Carmel Ny. I had to literally drive out as far as Allentown to get passed all the blocked traffic

Your wife is a very lucky person to have survived all the dust and mayhem

Never ventured out of my spots to much. Itā€™s hard breaking in bartenders :joy: Iā€™m glad I was there when I was.

:crossed_fingers:for this. She is very healthy except cigarettes. She definitely was exposed to all the smoke/dust that day. She told me about people coming uptown that were white, just completely covered in dust. Everyone trying to get in touch with family to let them know they were alive.:heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart:
