LEDSeedz Testing Grass Monkey F2 🐒

Taking a close look at the Grass Monkey testers. I would call these close to done. I’ll probably chop them Monday or Tuesday.

Grass Monkey 3

Grass Monkey 5

Grass Monkey 7

Grass Monkey 8. As a hash maker, this shot made me happy.

Update:

Grass Monkey Number 2 yielded 132g. That’s 4 ounces and 20 grams give or take a few.
Gm2 wasn’t topped. I only crushed and bent the main cola. the biggest nug weighed 8g on its own.

excellent jar appeal on it… had a chance to give a little bud a try yet?

Off just the one plant? Wow, I would be happy with that from all four of mine. They are flopping over big time right now, I might find time to harvest tonight.

58 days and it’s time to stick a fork in these monkies, they are done. :fork_and_knife: :monkey:

Start off with an artistic shot of the cabinet.

I stole @Jellypowered idea and hung them from my lights.

Overall, it was an easy grow, no major issues. I had a fungus gnat outbreak early on, but the soil mites and nematodes took care of that. Stretch got a tad out of control, but the velcro won in the end.

The amount of bud in there is insane. I’m don’t want to disappoint myself, but I’m going to guess about 200 grams in there.

The buds look great. Nice colors. Is that light bleaching on some of the upper pale leaves?

It gets me every once in a while…

so… a confirmed male in the second run… the rest are showing less male signs so far… been in flower (12/12)for 6 days

kinda rough to see yet but a cluster is wanting to form… have 3 in the big tent waiting on pistils so I can be 100% positive and one left showing no signs of anything but growth yet.

heres a pic of the big sister, her little siblings and their chemdawg pal in the back

big monkey came down

due to a ridiculous heat wave here and my 1 shoddy window unit I needed to shut a tent off til the heat breaks… she’s wicked frosted and I’m gonna leave the sugar leaves on… she’ll hang for hash…trichs were like sugar on my fingers…

but not to worry… round 2 going now…
Day 7F
when the pistils get bigger, I’ll get better pictures but out of the 6 planted, 1 lost to softness in the beginning, 1 confirmed male, 3 for sure female and one that has yet to show itself… don’t mind the dawg, shes tied up…

bad boy!!

I actually have good curing conditions for the first time for the GM girls. Shut down the wood boiler for heat wave using a 4" inline fan just to move air in closet. The RH has been way high. I open a window at night next to the closet and have been able to keep ~70’s and RH 50-60. Other grows I couldn’t keep RH above 35 in closet or tent. The steams are still pliable while the others snapped while cutting down.

Trimmed and jarred the GM5

140g of trichrome covered goodness. (5 ounces on the money!)

Puts my total for this grow at 272g total, I’m at .77gpw for this tester run, I want to thank y’all for hangin around and watching me stumble. It was fun and it was certainly a privilege to be able to test these amazing genetics that @LED_Seedz has obviously poured his heart and soul into.

Jelly out.

above shot
they’re bouncing back from a dose of hot castings causing N issues in new growth… but the green is coming back after a couple days of flushing them…

I’m glad you didn’t give up and settle for the one monkey, I knew you could do better. keep calm and monkey on!

The Grass Monkey are dry and in the jars starting to cure. I ended up with 194 grams only six grams less than my estimate. One of them had lighter fluffier buds, probably could have used an extra week or two. They were pretty uniform other than that and yield was very similar.

Day 15F
wanted to share something interesting I’ve noticed with this run… three distinctly different looks in the 4 remaining grass monkeys…

First the shorter rounded leaves

kinda regular leaf structure with these two

and then the taco leaf structure

honestly the last could be something going on with it but I’m not sure… New lights make things interesting

all the monkeys were topped at node 7 or 8 respectively and plucking single leaves that are in the way of bud sites for better light movement
