As a teacher- I can tell you that most kids can (and will) write/tell better fart stories and jokes than any book written FOR them by an adult!
ALL bodily functions/noises are HILARIOUS to kids…and they WILL talk about them, LOUDLY, on, and on and on… especially if it disrupts the class!
