I made this for the organic growers a couple years ago.

I mean, I grow organic. But if I didn’t Jack’s would be my first choice.

I agree. I stopped using it because I was seeing flashes of heavy metals in the bottom of my res. Still, wordplay and all.

Actual heavy metals? How did you identify them?

I didn’t have them analyzed, but they were glimmering and I know heavy metals are present in lower grade fertilizers. At first I thought it was from my pump, but then I noticed it in 5 gallon buckets too. I’ve never seen it with any other nutrient lines before or after. I mostly used Canna Coco AB before switching to Jacks. Now I use Floraflex.

No offense to all the OGs of OG lol

Salt crystals tend to be shiny. Metal, in an unpolished form, does not. I bet it was just salt. I have seen shiny, white salt deposits from MaxiBloom and Mega Crop.

Depending on what you use for amendments, organics often contain more heavy metals than “pure synthetic” salts.

lol. I’ve been growing with salts for a long time. These were metal flakes. Maybe not heavy metal, but metal. I don’t think I said “metallic” the first time, but they were shiney and metallic. I noticed it, but didn’t pay much mind until it started adding up throughout the grow. So I dissolved some in a 5 gallon bucket. I have black buckets, so it was easy to see. Definitely not salt.
