I made this a couple of days ago unfortunately copyright laws forced me to reduce it into very short clips. sorry.

I love Elliot, just so underrated. I have to be careful with his music though. It’s so beautiful but much of it is so sad or sad feeling that it can lead me down into depression if I overdo it. Gotta maintain balance

Whilst I’m on this heart-wrenching folksy kick I may as well throw another in the hat. Always been one of my favorite Dylan tunes. I’ve always dug earlier Dylan. His shows were so fucking hit or miss though I guess depending on what he’s using and how much. Haven’t seen him since early-ish 2000’s though so maybe that’s changed. He was lit up like a Xmas tree last time I caught him up in Milwaukee. He was introducing the band and nobody could understand a word he was saying

I saw Dylan in Milwaukee. It was a co-bill with Phil Lesh and Friends… Here’s my ticket stub:

The only other show I saw in Milwaukee was the Jerry Garcia Band. My crew and I went on a three night run in November 1991 to celebrate my birthday: 11/22 at Rosemont Horizon (Chicago area), 11/23 at Bradley Center (Milwaukee), and 11/24 Target Center (Minneapolis). The Milwaukee show stood above the others for quality, and it was eventually released as an official live album:

While I’m traipsing down memory lane, one more concert I attended in Wisconsin that was eventually released as a live album is Phish at Alpine Valley, August 1, 1998.
I had a ticket for the Tapers Section and brought my audio recording gear. I set up on the soundboard fence just a few feet away from lighting guru Chris Kuroda and got to watch him work his magic all night. My recording was just OK so I was pleased when the band put it out in pristine quality.

Note the “TAPERS” on the stub which allowed me to bring in my recording rig. I had to mail order request that from the band. They always have funky artwork when you get them direct like that.

I used to catch lots of music up in Milwaukee, not too far from the Chi burbs where I’ve been and I’ve got an uncle up there who always had an extra room or open 1 bedroom apartment after the tenant moved out from the 1st floor. Went to Summerfest every year for a couple decades

So heavy it needs two time signatures at once. (Tomas Haake (the drummer) is INSANE)

I
I - this fractal illusion burning away all structure toward the obscene
I - to cleanse, to purge, to breach eternity and smother all life
Blind - these mortal men of clay, divine and dying in their harnessed form
I - this furnace of limitless hate. Bestial, pure

The pendulum swings semi-attached to the centre of all
I drug these minds into ruin and contempt - the acid smoke of burning souls

This is an anomaly. Disabled. What is true?
Not destined for incarceration. I crave my nothingness

This illness that they whisper of, is that what makes me fail?
I see through the eyes of the blind
Not clear what it is to be this self I dread, the immense, the rabid I am
The cogs turn, grinding away at ceaselessness - willing it to dust

Re-desintegration. Convulse. A dead universe - Impales this twilight
Fear aligns. Sadistic me. Meant to devour. Despair
Sickened by the fact that immortality is not mine to have

A snail along a straight razor - dividing itself through motion
I charge this feeble product of god
Laughing, drenched in the bile of millions
Chewing on the stinking flesh of the crown of creation

Solitude in splendor has been rivalled
Shrouds stained with tarblack vomit
Veiling the rotting eyes of the masses
The strain of armageddon evolves

Shifting through worlds from chaos, to chaos, to chaos
I devour this manure of existence - infertile, barren, whole
Rancid redeemer. Virulent deterioration of faith

Sacrilege in persona. In truth, fundamentally twisted
A witness to this savage carnage. A frenzy of animosity
The will to mutilate. Dominant deviation
The worship of the sick and degenerate will spread

Conception derived from misconceptions
The dimensionless features of truth
Silence in the core of undoing
Untie its knots and set it loose

The inertia of my existence is clear
Premutations of slaughtered worlds
I alone will behold the dying sky
A servant of eternity

Progress finally, emergence of doom complete
Here only to reverse the flow of life
I
