I thought a little more about it, and subsequently felt obligated to share my single favorite trumpet/coronet player- Ruby Braff.
I really like Miles, but I love Ruby!
This evokes the smell of 1968ā¦ patchouli and reefer.
Ahh, the memories come wafting back to my brain.
Blissful.
I was very much into Cream back in those long lost days.
In retrospect, however, to my ears this was peak Clapton.
Cream, and then the short lived Derek and the Dominos were the very best
Clapton ever played. Itās sad (to me) that I never have liked anything he did after that.

And now we fast forward to 2021.
So far, this is in my top five new albums of ā21.
This Brazilian pianist sounds like a combination of Monk
and Corea, with a dash of Abdullah Ibrahim.
