I remember driving around w/ my uptight sister in the car, playing his new album "I’m new here’ and her thinking I was weird - it was great though! Love that stuff.
I’ve got some more chanting/ragga stuff around here I love, will have to dig through my CD’s…desperately need to re-organize & alphabetize my huge collection

Yes, you are correct, I did not pay much attention to Gil Scott-Heron after the 1970s, and I have never heard this cut before. He sounds withered indeed, old and weary beyond his years. And it puts his recordings of the ‘70s in a fine, poignant perspective.
