I’m always seeking to expand my musical horizons…lately looking to “world music” where a lot of the innovation is happening…check this out!
R.I.P. Walter Becker.
I spent many delightful hours in 1977 smoking heady sativas and listening to Aja…over and over.
Wow fuck man! I am the light, the path and the life that follows, the alpha and the omega…
I only fear it comes to us all… Sorry about this great guy…
Give me some funked up reggae!!! RIP
The next 20 years will be tough, we’re going to lose all the legends from 70’s. Popular music today is a joke.

Hey @Calyxander that girl Allison sings with the same cadence and feeling as Nina Simone, as if Nina was white… LOL
When i was 8 years old this was the 45 record i got for my birthday… WOW, gives me goosebumps…
Hi @MadScientist, My overall favorite type of music is female vocal jazz. I enjoy Nina Simone and Karrin Allyson. Of the two, I prefer Allyson, I spend more time listening to her than Simone. To me Simone is more brooding and darker in her interpretations.
Well, I have to admit that I know nothing about Kiss. They were not on my musical radar back in the '70s. The tunes you have posted are much more listenable than I thought they would be.
Thanks for sharing your musical memories!
Hahaha…hey, hey we’re the Monkees…
I used to watch their amusing TV show back when it first aired in 1966…I also bought their first album.
Here is my favorite tune from the boys:
I still really like the melody!
I used to watch the show when I was a child too, probably not the first airing though 1975-80
Great band all time classics @Calyxander
