Salutations OleSkool830,
Here’s a brief set of photos meant to illustrate his transformation:
That was early, perhaps even before Aleah i would believe, then this came after:
Personally i got the impression he’s already given his best shot in the “Hour of the Nightingale” (Trees of Eternity) album of 2016, with a few more outbreaks in “No Stars Upon the Bridge” (Hallatar) which came almost a year later. Recent videos appear to suggest he may fall back to his Swallow the Sun style - that of “Cathedral Walls” hopefully (…) - though i think future StS events may suffer, even from his absence(s) if i’m not mistaking.
So, the one guy i’d still expect more surprises from is actually the vocalist Tomi Joutsen, from Amorphis, another group which kindly honoured Aleah’s memory on stage:
It’s not clear if there will be more occurences of a contrasting recipe that includes a female singer but this is what i found most pleasant to discover and appreciate, e.g. when having a full dynamic range of voices going from angel to beast. Not much luck either side so far…
Nothing special there as well, another no-go. Who knows if this other female vocalist can be put to better use in some future.
Good day, have fun!!
