I’ve seen McDonalds employees stating on the internet that they have zero problem dropping fresh fries for you if you ask them to, but also that this trick is well known and if you order them without salt they watch to see if you salt them. They can’t do anything about it of course besides think you’re kind of a dick but still.
I felt bad reading it cause I had done the no salt trick a few times before.

the first time i tried the no salt thing they gave me 2 large fries instead of one, maybe to not waste fries i guess? i don’t know. it didn’t work the second time.

My fav potato recipe is cube them into 1/2” squares. Boil for 2-3min. Drain. Fry in a pan with butter, olive oil, fresh garlic (2x once at the start and again at 1 min till finished), and fresh basil. Mmmmmmmm tasty!!!
The basil goes in just as you take the pan off the heat.
