Great music, definitely the thread to seek through when baked lol.
Back in the 70s 1977 this song was a Midwest band. We had great live music growing up. Bands like JD blackfoot and Robin Trower heavily influenced our area with live concerts at parties, many other bands as well.
Here’s the band called Missouri. (Movin on)
Back in our day, this was truth we absorbed into our souls. J D Blackfoot loved Missouri. He lived in Ironton Missouri until he passed away recently
This was a stoner song that molded into our minds forever. The Song of Crazy Horse.
I really liked these guys back in the day, they were some of the first pieces I learned to play.

@GregOG huge fan of J D Blackfoot I used to live in Ironton as well. Spent many a night in the sweat lodge. I haven’t been down there in a while but I wasn’t aware that he passed on yet either are you sure he’s gone.
The Dan, Seger, Skynyrd, Steve Miller, Eagles probs my top of the genre. Tom Petty up there also.
Dead I love very very much but classify as their own thing. Not as big a fan of the Canadian or European stuff as much, it’s kinda lame and mopey in my opinion. I don’t think we have a replacement word for it yet, but zepp and pink floyd are just kinda “gay” if that makes sense.
All my classic rock experiences are retro, mind you, born in the 80s grew up in the 90s.
*mean no offense to my lgbtq+ forum friends, just literally don’t have a better word for it
The Trees Rush The Trees - Google Search
If we put rush in there this song’s got to go in there
Good question. I’m not finding the information online. I’ve got letters from JD delivered from Ironton Missouri. He had a place there in Ironton he stayed. I’m gonna have to look for the letters, they’re here somewhere. I’ve got a CD signed from him too he sent.
We have a lot of mutual friends and I haven’t heard anything yet awesome dude great family did you make any of those concerts up in St Louis or any of those down here I’m about a half hour away I should probably go check.
He seemed to hide his Ironton place from his public life. His fan club letters kept us informed.
I think he went back to Ohio for his final days to be with his family. Ironton was his party house and his close friends.
