Kyle Belokopitsky, director of the New York State Parent Teachers Association, fought back tears as she recalled how she and her 9-year-old son were on a chair lift at a Massachusetts ski area recently as a pair of 15-year-old boys puffed marijuana in their presence.

Ugh, I’m of the school of thought that besides a birth, death, or marriage, men should not cry in public.

it’s financial too - the treatment industry doesn’t want to lose cannabis - thousands of people are forced into treatment by the courts

Quote from article;
“Because that’s what’s happening with most cannabis businesses for a number of reasons, chief among them is the fact that it’s regulated like toxic waste. Everything is more expensive and more difficult.”

Well to be fair many people distribute cannabis that should rightfully be regulated as toxic waste. Every time a bud is sold that smells like a wet sponge, or has been sprayed with this that and the next thing, it gives fearmongers something to lean on when their weaker arguments arn’t holding water.
Scientists are just collateral damage

We have a mayor that loves booze! He maintains cannabis prohibition in Boston despite the city voting for it by 64%. At the same time he’s applied for 125 NEW liquor licenses for the city. He actually told us the reason he opposed Question 4 was because of his own alcoholism…he just loves booze!

So nothing is definite or written in stone yet but as a resident of New York who has supported legalization for decades I am frankly appalled at what I have been reading regarding my states future rec laws no home cultivation pretty much means no legalization as far as I am concerned I don’t care how many dispensaries they open if I am still hiding in my closet what’s the point I will still be living that outlaw life like I have for 30 years I’m not going to stop growing because it’s been so called legalized that makes no sense so as always come try and stop me
