Hang in there man, Herr Cuomo’s proposal allows home growing, although with a pitifully low “plant count”, I think 4. But nobody in Mass. pays any attentiont to “plant count”, I wouldn’t worry about it
And in typical fashion, Like most Politicians, she is actually wrong. Cannabis is not “legal” in Jamaica. It is decriminalized for small amounts, but is still illegal, I believe to grow (though from what I have heard, doesn’t really stop a lot of folks).
I’m all in favor of total legalization of all drugs (though I do have a bit of a problem with a few) Politicians just open their mouth and quote stuff they have no clue about. In fact, she states “Half my family is from there” so maybe she should kinda know.
Could somebody please take out the trash!
We’ll see how this plays out.
I do not see recreational on the horizon (in FL), given the blatant thwarting of the voters will regarding MMJ.
Sunshine State?
…
“Why are Massachusetts marijuana users still buying on the black market?”
Lol, duh?
“But part of the goal of legalizing marijuana was to eliminate, or at least lessen the influence, of the black market.”
Until, the legislature had their own bright ideas…
Medical marijuana dispensary sales in Maine drop for 2nd straight year
The dispensary owners attribute the decline to increased and unfair competition that forces them to cut prices, driving down revenue even more.
…
well well well - so the medMJ industry paid the legislature to NOT allow cannabis stores to open, as ordered by the voters. The Maine government banned cannabis cafes approved by voters, refused to allow stores to open, cut the number of plants people can legally have. The Maine government doubled the cannabis tax rate approved by voters.
How’s that working out? The Maine govt. and corrupt med industry is being overgrown. Prohibition NEVER works!
the bankers estimate 71% - no doubt reality is more like 95%
The cannabis black market will control 71 per cent of sales in Canada this year, Scotiabank says
Really now.
The FDA prohibits companies from adding active ingredients that are drug products in foods and drinks. CBD falls into this category because it’s the main ingredient in Epidiolex, a drug the FDA approved last year to treat severe childhood epilepsy. …New York City’s health department has pointed to the FDA’s regulations in justifying its enforcement.
Just making things up as we go along…
