Imagine wine grapes produced in an environment akin to indoor Cannabis growing with sterile hydroponics, pure cultivar expression, essentially no terrior influence. What would it be like? ... Pure cultivar/phenotype expression?
I ask this after listening to Breeder Steve's interview in the latest PotCast; He explains how centuries-old & highly respected vinyards are operating with todays growers & the product is dependent on the land and the weather variation for a given year.
In other words, the buyers are interested in the land more than the grower...
He mentioned a comparison of tomatos grown with hydroponics & organic soil showing the organic expressed more flavonoids and produced secondary flavonoids which the hydro did not.
It's a great episode & glad I got to hear Breeder Steve. Gotta love his joy over walking into a dispensary & people who don't know him trying to sell him Sweettooth vape pens!
