There’s 2 that have a bit of a rotten fruit smell 3 that have a heavy musty smell and the taller phenos seam to have more of the skunky smell that sticks.
There’s 5 different strains in flower so I’m having a bit of trouble pinpointing what smells I’m getting. I was expecting a stronger smell from all the strains I have in flower but I’m guessing since they are so heavily seeded its energy is going elsewhere.
Even the purple Kush I pollenated doesn’t seam to be as heavy as it normally is.

Very nice! Was getting back home a bit like being smacked in the face with a wet bag of irradiated dog shit, or not quite that good? :stuck_out_tongue:

I only had the door open to the room for 5 minutes and my basement got a nice hum going on lol. Not dog shit tho lol

Still not bad. Like you said, sinsemilla will be better… almost all the phosphorus and most of the micros go to seed production, and phosphorus/magnesium/sulfur are pretty heavily used in terpene production from what I’ve been able to discover. Research is still pretty spotty. :frowning:

Just saw a neat video, might be worth a watch. More towards the later half talks about skunk

Very cool. When I do a bud run with these I will chop at different times to see if it gets skunkier.
Thanks for sharing

Hadn’t smelled any literal roadkill skunk in awhile, but drove through some the other day while traveling, and have never had weed that smelled like that, not even close. I’ve had weed that smelled “skunky” but I think the rks thing is an exaggeration. Maybe I’ll be proven wrong at some point.

Thanks for checking in @G-paS! We’re on the home stretch now. They will be coming down this week. Then the dreaded seed plucking of a million seeds lol

How many did you pollenate to get a Million seeds?

Looking great in here @Kushking902 plants look stinky :grinning:

I’ve smoked stuff that was 100% Rank of dead Skunk before, you can litterly smell it a block away… Powerful stuff.

Your gonna be pretty busy I guess gezzz.
I’m sure they are easier ways to de seed the plants other then by hand…

I’m hopeful we all find some serious stinky phenos in these beautiful beans.

Great work @Kushking902! Can’t wait to see a pile of ripe seed!
I take a bunch of dried seeds and put them on a spread out
Newspaper that has the crease down its length. Then i roll the seed pressing down with light pressure to get the" husks "off. I then move the pile of seed to one end of the paper, slighly tilt the paper, and jiggle it, just a little bit(couldn’t help that…hopefully someone gets it😁)
Kind of like panning for gold. The seeds roll down the crease onto another creased newspaper, leaving much of the fluff behind. By the time you do this with the 2nd paper the seeds will be clean. Looking forward to that part!

Not sure if this helps for the seeds, or if it’s just more work than it’s worth… I haven’t tried it myself, but people in some of the other seed co-op threads were talking about this.

seedsorter design

I think the way it works is that you put the seeds into the funnel hole on the left… the immature ones are sucked out by the vacuum on the right side, but slide down the slope, while the heavier ones bounce off the sides of the channel on the left to shake off a bit of the fluff? I’m not 100% sure on the details, but it looks interesting. For a better explanation, just search “seed sorter” and a bunch of results will pop up. Of course, particularly in the here and now, it might be more work getting this set up than just sorting the seeds yourself…

Don’t shake it more than three times, or you’re playing with it!

I thought that the vacuum was blowing air in the example I had seen, the lighter undeveloped seeds should get blown all the way up and out while the heavier mature seeds bounce around shaking off the husk but can’t actually get blown up and around the corner and just fall back down into a pile? I could be wrong though, it happens often haha

I remember back in the early 70’s this guy I knew threw away a whole plant because he thought a skunk had sprayed all over that mofo. Fast forward to 2021 and Skunk is a hot commodity! Who woulda thunk it?

Haha I’d be like where exactly did you dump this tree?

I’ve seen that before. I been thinking of giving it a shot. From the videos I seen, it works half decent
