A lot of times when you have indoor plants on 24/7 or similar and are already a few months old the abrupt fewer hours of light will kick them into flower. Most plants will go back into veg but this does take away from their growth.
To combat this you can put them out when they are only 1 month old at the right time and they usually won’t flower on you.
Look up light deprivation. It’s used to mimic early dark periods
Should start flowering around mid August for you. You’d have to force flower a bit first, starting mid July or so.
Try a 16/8 veg cycle to avoid this, or if that still doesn’t work, put a lightbulb on a timer and hit the plants for 30 minutes at night.
I’ve kept that grow/veg room at 16/8 for a couple years now. I think the solar light bulb on a timer will be the trick. Another OGer said his trick for guerrilla grows as just that. Said it only needed to be on for like an hour in the middle of the night as well. Have I said I love this site yet?
It’s called the gas lantern method.
ETA: I first heard about it on some podcast, and I think they said the Dutch used it to grow tulips?
Yup. In Colombia they hit the indicas with nighttime lighting for a little while.
SnowHigh mentioned 30 minutes of light. I’ve read 5 minutes will work but I don’t know…
I believe the original practice predated electricity, hence the gas lantern name.
@Oldjoints Thanks for producing these seeds for the spring box. Awesome Ty
You Sir are very welcome!
Niiiice!

Awesome sounding and looking strain, thank you for growing and sharing these @Oldjoints. I missed the signup by half a year but given the amount of seeds, are there leftovers still by any chance? Anyway great work, pleasure to see these plants!

Has anyone on here grown out the seeds.? I know big Mike cut his down but I don’t see any of the guys in here who got the seeds growing them
Usually people start breaking out the seeds the following season. I hope to see a bunch of these grown out. @Oldjoints Did one heck of a preservation.
This is india’s most popular landrace, Especially amongst the younger generation. Full head and body high with this one.
I have about 6 of them growing out in a small greenhouse in the forest in Australia. There about 8 inches tall. Was hoping to breed them over winter but unsure when they will start to flower.
Yeah… what Upstate said. I plan on running these indoors next winter.
From previous years, I’ve learned not to have any indoor grows going during the summer in the northeast. Humidity just too damn high.
What’s your latitude?
