You made some good points in that thread and I’ve addressed this one many times before. Folks really think they need to push the light limit during flowering, forgetting that at that time of the flowering season, which can be early fall to early winter in nature, the sun has settled lower in the horizon and the days have shortened.

That look like a waste of time, space and money. I grow better looking weed and bigger without defoliation. Reducing the nutes on the last month the plant will start using its leaves to produce buds.

I like how simple it is 
how close do you pack your plants together outdoors doing this? I grow in 4x4 and 4x8 raised beds and in the past have only put one/two in them, respectively. I’m trying to maximize variety this year 
That’s exactly how I stopped yanking they’d removed my finger so I couldn’t grab a leaf anymore and said I’ll loose a finger if I yank another leaf !

I did a test as you know by either cutting the top half of the leaves off or only removing a finger or 2 that blocks lights( I call it yakuza style), also bending the offending leaves under
Plants where healthy ( not too eye appealing lol )
I noticed a slight difference enough to make me continue the practice rather then defoliate completely ! you know me brother I like a good experiment and I totally believe in limiting what I remove ! The leaves are the work engine of the plant
They turn light into energy so leaves are our friends but we are here to grow BUD
