Ya thats the first thing i looked at when buying. If it’s a HOA i wouldn’t look any further onto the next one. Iv heard way to many horror stories about issues with HOA. Good luck on your search you’ll find the right one.

The lady that ran the HOA in my neighborhood for a long time was a witch and loved to power trip as often as possible to let everybody know she was in charge. Awful person. Everybody was happy when she moved and somebody else took over and left everybody alone.

There are HOA’s in florida that will not let you park a truck in your own driveway personal or business. You have to rent a paeking place in a storage place or whatever…

My mom and the neighbors (town houses/carriage house 5 units each like 2000sq ft +/-) just got their HOA to pay for all new roofing on their building. I’m sure rates will go up though. But there are so e positives but generally Yea wouldn’t recommend HOA either. I don’t gotta worry about that though living here in Chile…
