Myself and a friend of mine have been super focused on preserving old school Mexican lines. We’ve got a Michoacán line from 1981 that we’re open pollinating this spring, along with some Acapulco gold and kalamata red among other landrace and heirloom projects.
I’d recommend steering clear of taking in clones- no matter your intake procedures there’s always a high probability that they’re contaminated with something you don’t want in your garden. Lost a couple harvests the hard way this year and now I’ve got a hard and fast rule against taking in cuts. And besides… almost any special terpene or cannabanoid profile that you like in a cutting can be found in a pack of seeds if you look hard enough
