This thread needs more discussion of how one achieves “the flow” on a fixed gear.
IMHO it’s more about anticipating the need to stop or slow down, when riding sans brake, and less about not having gears to choose from. Otherwise people would be achieving “the zen” flow on a singlespeeds, and that’s just ridiculous.

There’s as many reasons to ride a bike as there are types of bikes, probably more. I like em all.
