Best way to improve your driving, fixed gear riding, hiking…challenge yourself to consistently look further and further into the distance. The stuff in between takes care of itself.
I realized, years ago, that there are times when one needs to tone down the extreme version of this one uses when riding a brakeless fixed gear in the city, like, for example, when you’re driving a cab and maybe scaring the bejeezus out of your passengers. Sometimes one needs to turn down the aggro-messenger flow and flip on the driving with grandma flow.
