No joke, I knew a guy who was laying on a couch, rolled off it and broke his leg in seven places. No compound fractures, and some were only hair-line fractures, but he was in a full leg cast for several months.

Static in his living room. As I recall, he was watching tv. Almost certainly stoned, possibly drunk.
This was the late 1970s. The doc apparently said he’d never seen anything really like it before. They ran a bunch of (what we’d now consider primitive) tests and could find no organic problems. And he didn’t have a history of prolific broken bones, although he may have broken some. Many of us have.

I’ve never broken a bone other than a tooth or two, but I know how people can step off a curb and crush ankle bones, it can be more random than your imagination sometimes
