Did you NEVER hear of ‘‘Typhoid Mary’’??
Mary Mallon was ‘‘Asymptomatic’’ but was a carrier of Typhoid Fever and infected almost 100 people before they realized she was the carrier-- and that was in the 1860’s, when the Population was much smaller to start with.
Same with Smallpox-- someone didn’t have to have the full-fledged disease to spread it–which is why over 300-500 MILLION died of it before it was eradicated in 1977.

How appealing a food is depends entirely on what culture you were raised in and your personal preferences… so HOW can this even be a thing?
I mean, until very recently, the Japanese thought all dairy product were vile and disgusting… Raw fish?? Blood, octopus, squid ink or insects as ingredients??
