I grow in 5 gallon buckets and line that problem every time I go to water them.

I think this might be a misunderstanding… it is possible to graft tomato plants and potato root stocks, in which case you can grow tomatoes and potatoes on the “same” plant. I found a few references (using that photo) that seemingly claimed you can grow such a plant from seed, but if you read down in the garbled description they mention grafting…
