Today it was announced by the Wisconsin space force that they will send cheese heads to mars to make a “Mars Sandwich” as a response to the multi-national effort to make an earth sandwich.
The Prime Minister of Canada retaliated by seizing all the American cheese at the border. 
Winnipeg quickly said that Mars had been declared Canadian territory after “The Great Cheese Wars” of 1995.

Makes sense. Similar climate. And we really need an interplanetary empire.
Free trade does not include cheese. Or softwood lumber for some reason.
