That’s what I was hoping to hear thank you, I’m totally willing to spend what there asking for a slight improvement, the set it and forget it does sound appealing too. I can tend to get anxiety around drying time as it literally is the make it or break it so I do my best to get conditions just right. I’d imagine that I would save on electricity as well since I’m cooling a entire room down to 63° for 14 days

Don’t quote me, but I think the Cannatrol only pulls like 65-75 watts. It’s trivial in the scheme of things, especially compared to trying to keep a room at set points. Look thru my thread, and an owner set a room up with a controller, and equipment, but electric went thru the roof trying to keep the room at the set points, and controlled.
I was researching freeze dryers after the wife bought mine, and here are the prices that came up.
Cannatrol - $1600
Harvest Right - starting at $2595 base model, better models, prices rise considerably
Resinator- starting at $6800
Canna-Freeze - starting at $50,000
Cryo-Cure - starting at $49,900
Now, $50k for a “home” model of freeze dryer is absolutely absurd.

I watched an add for the Cryo-cure, and I believe it was Ed Rosenthal that was stating “the future of cannabis drying is here” and then looked it up, and saw the $50k price tag for the “home” model. I can only imagine what they want for a large model for a grow op.

And I agree the prices of some of the others are outrageous I feel like it’d be within the realm of possibility to reverse engineer and build it for less, just the way my brain works

Many have said “I can build one cheaper” since the wife bought me mine in September, and have yet to see one come to fruition that does what the Cannatrol does.
The thing to remember, this wasn’t made for the cannabis industry, It was originally built for the cheese industry, then they found it worked for meats also. After that, they tried the technology on cannabis and found it worked for it also.

I haven’t had an issue. Some owners flip their buds on the 2nd day. Even if it were to get a flat spot my grinder doesn’t care. I haven’t flipped any of the buds in my runs. I’ve given out over 80 OZ’s since I got mine, and nobody has complained.

Are there any more of the OG (Overgrow the world) rectangle holos still around, or are those all gone? The ones I always describe as “drippy”.
