Yeah, I have the same mini dehumidifier and a container with gasket lid. Leave the seal open mistakenly and drive humidity in room up to over 80% was my issue. I might have even gotten away with it but that dehumidifier was plugged in to recharge. Timing is everything.
Especially if you are using the “Rhythm Method” to avoid a pregnancy.
Don’t ask me how I know………
Doug, i would think you should still be able to gather a significant amount of pollen, and you could always cut it with some corn starch or other filler if needed.
Oh yeah, I have not lost hope, I collected some last night. Definatly producing less than they have been but there will be some. Just annoys me to lose an oz and a half of great pollen to such a silly thing but I can go back to one of my favorite sayings
I got my pollen shaker in the mail today! Just need a male in my life to start busting nuts… wow. I never thought I’d type something like that out. I need to go think about some things.
OMG! That is the worst cannabis disaster I have ever heard of. I don’t know what to say after such a tragic event. Holy shit. My deepest sympathy for you brother. Dust yourself off kick the door down and ramble on.
BUCKETHEAD BABY! That shit is the jam. Although there’s no way in hell I’m using a vacuum to suck up pollen!!! Unless you have a HEPA filter it’s just going to blow that shit EVERYYYYYYYWHERE!! lol
NOOOO! GOD PLEASE! NOOOO!
ugh mannnn what luck! Anyway it is what it is. Hope they keep dumping for ya bud!
Yeah, I am hoping, the yields have come way down but I will keep collecting. I am still drying that other stuff so who knows, I think it’s toast but I will try to pollinate the Grape Punch with it to verify. I also picked up one of those ammo containers that @Gpaw showed. It’s got a latch so it will ensure the thing is closed going forward
Hey Doug, I’ve been following, bud. I’m really proud of you for trying hard. Even with small setbacks, you are getting more experienced, and better all the time, and this was a major success, despite some typical and small setbacks. I’m really proud of you for your time and effort spent, and I’m proud to be a part of it here with you. You have done awesome, and we have all enjoyed. It’s been beautiful. Cheers, bro.
This is a bummer, however you still broke your record for collecting!!! AND this is still a redemption run that is looking like a smashing success!!
Sorry to hear that Doug. Shit happens though, unfortunately.
Thats a real bummer for sure.
I guess Tigger is off the hook this time! He must be in the good books now.
It could have been worse. Such as spider mites!
Could always attempt to re-veg a male?
At least your girls are all well pollinated! Thats a plus!
No, just going to keep collecting and go with what I get. When this run is over I will be done till September so I can go spend the summer in the woods for maintenance to my soul After that it’s on to the BOG Lifestar repro.
I hope you have a wonderful time at the cabin and in the woods!
You need it!
Hey all, so back at the grind. Collected pollen last night and just now, got 7 grams so far I really hope these keep producing but so far 7 grams is better than nothing. Here are your Sour Bubbles.
They look wonderful!
Sorry to hear mate but you can do it! They’re looking great and what a huge pollen yield! Great work mate
Holy creator those are beautiful!!
My buddy says mix with whole wheat flour as soon as gathered, or now to remove moisture and save any living. His humble opinion.
May I ask what is your secret to collecting.
I use a paper plate and the quick flick method, I am sure I can improve on that.
Do you use a paper bag or similar?
Thanks
Shag
Thanks man, I may give that a shot. It’s drying out as we speak with the dehumidifier, just have no idea the damage it did. I will be testing it’s viability on some Grape Punch soon and we shall see if it’s good or now. At least I am getting more and a quarter oz of pollen is not a bad start.
No secret bud, I take a metal bowl and smack each branch into it and than smack it a bunch of times till it stops dropping pollen, than move to the next branch. Some branches end up breaking as I go but I just tuck them in and keep moving. Takes some time but the results speak for themselves. It also puts a ton of pollen everywhere else but I deal with that after the run.
