my friend Brian grew up in East Boston (Massachusetts) in the 70’s, old townie family with policeman father, and speaks with an English accent. Instead of “half” he says “Holf”. Never heard anything like it. Boston’s all gentrified-up now with people that grew up in the subrubs, the old accents are dying out
