Now coleus is one of my very favorite plants to grow from seed…but…
Taking cuttings from a coleus plant is a faster way to get a nice, rapidly growing plant.
Starting coleus from seed requires lots of patience because when they first sprout above soil they are difficult to see, and they take time to show their colors. Not to mention that coleus seeds are teeny tiny and are a little tricky to get started…they need light to germinate and should only be gently pressed into the medium.

I started these coleus and zinnia seeds on the same day and look at the difference in development thus far.

Do you get your seed somewhere on-line then? I haven’t ever seen it anywhere.

Coleus seeds should be readily available in garden shops or Loews or the Depot.
Even Walmart carries them.

But Burpee or Park Seeds are my preferred vendors online.

Must not of snapped a picture of a coleus of the brain coleus bummer @Calyxander have you seen those or pics of them I haven’t seen those up until now, they literally look like little brains .

My bad they are a Celosia plant not a coleus
