Right? Iāve wondered that for a long time. So I looked around a bit. I found some answers that mostly point to it being a fictitious place but based off of an area of Scotland. The original folk song was sometimes known as The Bonnie Lass of Fyvie-O. These are all just speculation based off of clues from lyrics as well as some notes that Robert Hunter had taken down. We may never know. But itās definitely mentioned in numerous songs. Dire-Wolf being the next one that comes to mind and I think it may be referenced in the Terrapin Suite but not completely by name. Sounds like a dissertation topic to me though
