He’s gone, like a steam locomotive rolling down the track, he’s gone, and nothing’s gonna bring him back
Next to John Lennon, this is my biggest loss and more than just a musical genius. As wild and as much outlaw as he was, he was bigger in the heart. CSN got me through the 70’s. And now he’s gone. Damn.

One of the greatest rock jams by some very special people. So sad we lost another brother.

Before they were all poppy and popular, they were jazzy and bad ass.

Preston Epps was a monster bongo player!

Similar overall sound.

I love 'em both!

Hot stuff!

New Ladytron this month. Time’s Arrow…

I love those early Pointer Sister recordings! The jazz is just so hot!

Are you familiar with the Boswell Sisters? Groundbreaking white vocalists. At times they sound a little like a female Mills Brothers, but holy shit could they ever sing! The Pointer Sisters remind me of them sometimes.

Nothing like the Boswell Sisters, but holy shit (no pun intended) was she great!

“We got to have more love, more understanding every day that I’m alive!” That’s right and that’s all!

Boswell Sisters, oh yes. One of the sisters was confined to a wheel chair but never stopped them. Just natural harmonies of the hot jazz of the times.
