Moon is my alltime favorite drummer/maniac!
I could not agree more! The most amazing drummer!
I decided today to go see this tour when they come through my state next week. I caught Cory Wong last summer at a festival and it was fantastic. His big band is super talented. Victor Wooten is arguably the most talented bass player alive today. I’ve seen him a few times but it has been probably 15 years.
Last evening upon finishing my first bowl of the day, I found myself thinking about King
Crimson and the 1970s. Wallowing in gooey nostalgia, reminiscing about the only time I saw King Crimson in the summer of 1974. What a fun concert adventure we had in June of 1974. King Crimson and Golden Earing at the Casino Arena in Asbury Park NJ.
A VW Beetle and a few sacks of spicy sweet Colombian Gold got us to the old venue.
One of the most amazing “rock” shows that I ever witnessed. It is really hard to believe that was almost 50 years ago.
I hope that some of you may enjoy this.
Music starts at 2:29…

OMG! Outrageous ticket prices. $6.00 plus tax (or a dozen eggs in today’s currency)
Sorta scary… gasoline was less than 55 cents US per gallon…A few months after the King Crimson show, I bought a new Honda Civic because of those high prices.
$3,400 total cost.
Probably not well known outside of Ontario, Mendleson Joe passed away yesterday. He changed his name to that cause that’s how it appeared in the phone book! He was one of those people they broke the mold after he was born. RIP you crazy bastard!
I saw Rush in…gulp…1975 at the Kee to Bala. Went with a buddy and his older brother in his '62 Strato Chief listening to Mott the Hoople Live on 8 track. Rush were NOT the refined musicians we all came to know…they were gawd awful! Lol.
