This isnāt just one tune. Itās whole show3, but i just have to put it out there cuz when and if you ever get the time, you gotta watch it. Excellent all star cast, funny but never , er, canāt never anythingā¦just watch it.

The āradio versionā of that tune was all over the Metro NYC area airwaves in the summer of 1977. Back then I was already diving deeply into jazz, and I remember naively thinking that there was going to be a gigantic resurgence in the popularity of all types of jazz music, what with Feels So Good being played on many rock/pop radio stationsā¦ boy, was I ever wrong,
Anyway, 1977 was also the year of other jazz adjacent releases- Steely Danās Aja, and Joni Mitchellās Don Juanās Reckless Daughter, which helped to reinforce my delusions about jazz gaining in popularity.
