One of my favorite songs when I was a child. This was released in 1958, when I was eight years old. I don’t speak Yiddish or Hebrew. I barely speak English, but shithowdy did I ever love this song. Maybe it’s because it’s a food song. And yeah, I also love homentashn the food. I just don’t know. I mean, I liked the entire album, but this song in particular really took me somewhere else. Obviously I continue to listen to it.
