This was the first album I ever bought (along with a Marvin Gaye album). It was the cover that got me. I had no idea who these guys were or what they’d do to my musical sensibilities, or maybe sensibilities in general. Almost 60 years later and I still love the fuck out of it!

I noticed a snippet of this song in an ad for Whatsapp that’s been airing on TV. Used to love this track (if I remember correctly there’s a nice version on the oddball first Parliament album as well).
