I’ve seen that happen to Sam Stone.

Yep, songs that touch our hearts if we are open to what they say.
I believe the first post I made in this thread, not long after I had joined OG, was about a recording which, as I recall, @CanuckistanPete posted. It’s my favorite recording of all time. Shit, as I sit here just thinking about it I’m crying.
It may be too mushy for some, but for me the unconditional love and beauty that emanate from this recording affect me in a way no other recording ever has.
If you’ve never actually listened to the words, I encourage you to give it a couple of minutes. I think one of the things I like most about it is Pop’s expression of humility.
