This is a somewhat unusual album cover. It was very common for the cover of blues and R&B records, and perhaps jazz too, to feature a white woman, sometimes without the musician at all.

Did you know Hank Ballard wrote The Twist, the only song to ever reach #1 on a chart in two non-consecutive years? He also recorded it first. Chubby Checker’s cover is a note for note copy with even the lyric’s inflections virtually identical.
