Unfortunately, they are too expensive to just play around a little! Otherwise I would have one long ago
Look on Ebay, you can find anything on there. I wanted a couple of timers that actually work and are rugged and wont reset when the power goes out. I found what my dad used in the early 1980s new in the box on ebay. They havent been made in 30+ years.
Ingraham Automatic Program Timer Model 12-047 E 24-Hour Brown Plug-In Timer. I bought two of them for under $20.
